Tuna Melts

Woah woah woah. I am a tuna lover and used to just eat tuna and mayo on bread. I never knew you can bring it to another level. So I am going to share this recipe with you 🙂 okay lets do this!!

You will need;
– 4 slices of bread (calabrese or sourdough will work best)
– butter
– 1 can of flaked tuna
– 1 stalk celery, chopped
– green onion, chopped
– 1/2 cup mayo
– pinch of cayenne or paprika
– grated cheese (I used marble cheddar cheese)
– salt and pepper to taste

Preparation;

– Preheat your oven to broil
– Spread tons of butter on both sides of the bread slices and set on a foil lined cookie sheet
– Put bread into oven and broil for about 3 mins on each side until both sides are browned, then remove from oven
– In a bowl mix tuna, celery, green onion, mayo, pinch of cayenne and salt & pepper
– Scoop tuna mixture onto bread and spread evenly
– Spread grated cheese on top and lighty sprinkle some cayenne or paprika on the cheese
– Broil till cheese has melted and is a beautiful golden brown colour
– Remove and cool for 2 minutes then serve 🙂
